About this CourseThis 5 day course is often called the "cap-stone" course, it is the final requirement for achieving the ITIL Expert qualification. The course concentrates on the management if IT services right across the ITSM lifecycle and provides participants with knowledge and capabilities required for implementing Service Management according to ITIL and then managing and improving on an on-going basis. The course includes several practical exercises based on a realistic case study. Participants play the role of a new Manager who must explain and justify initiatives to improve the provision of IT services to the business. This course concludes with a 120 minute examination, consisting of 10 multiple choice, scenario-based, gradient scored questions. Each question will have four possible answer options, one is worth 5 marks, one which is worth 3 marks, one which is worth 1 mark and one which is a distractor and achieves no marks. Students must achieve a score of 28 out of 40 (or 70%) in order to have passed this examination. Successfully attaining the ITIL Intermediate Certificate for Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) is the final requirement for being awarded the ITIL Expert qualification. AudienceThis course is intended for individuals and IT professionals who want to achieve ITIL Expert qualification and who are likely to take on a management, leadership or consulting role within IT Service Management. PrerequisitesTo attend this course, participants must have first obtained a valid combination of ITIL Intermediate qualifications as set out in the ITIL V3 Qualification Scheme.
